Biochemistry of apoptosis

Requirements for signing the semester: attendance on the lectures. Only one absence is accepted from the lectures. In case of more absences students will not be permitted to take the written exam.
Grading:
Students have to write a rewiew from the following topics:
Genes of the molecular program of apoptosis. What did we learn from the C. elegans and
the Drosophila?
Caspase family, caspase inhibitory proteins and other proteases.
The Bcl-2 family proteins.
Phagocytosis of apoptotic cells.
Cell death receptors.
Apoptosis in the immune system.
Immunmodulatory roles of the apoptotic cells. Immunogenic cell death.
Molecular program of apoptosis: tissue transglutaminase enzyme
Detection of apoptosis
p53, and cancer
Alternative cell death forms
Format

On the 6th page references (list of papers that was used for writing the review
